About

The Iitti Music Festival is an event focusing primarily on chamber music. It takes place mainly in the idyllic village of Iitti and its wooden cruciform church – over 300 years old and one of the finest of its kind in Finland. The Festival culminates in the hauling of a piano up to the site of an ancient hill fortress for a midnight open-air concert. - Concurrent with the Festival is a summer music school.

Iitti lies between the towns Lahti and Kouvola. The municipal centre, Kausala, is on highway 12 and can be reached by train, too.
